Proud american T shirt online shopping… a certain way to feel excellent, to brighten your day. Let’s talk clothing and american patriotism. Example of a brand using american patriotism : Finally, it’s important to remember that at its heart, patriotism is about community. USAA, which ranks number 24 on the list of patriotic brands, consistently makes this point in its marketing. A touching example is its “You Are Not Alone” campaign, which was released after Hurricane Florence. The spot features black-and-white photos of people who lost their homes to the storm and finds different ways to convey the same key message: we stand with you—you are not alone.

Hillary Clinton, Shannon Coulter, Ivanka Trump, Sophie Theallet, Melania Trump: it is notable that women-as makers, buyers, wearers, and boycotters of fashion-are often at the heart of this year’s convergence of fashion and politics. Notable, but also unsurprising. For unlike other elements of the oft unpredictable 2016 election season, this is nothing new. Fashion has long been critical to expressing and mobilizing political ideologies. And women have repeatedly been key players in its power for making partisan, patriotic, and even revolutionary political statements. Historically, fashion has provided women-even when marginalized, or completely shut out of, electoral politics-a vocal and visible political role. This was certainly true in eighteenth-century America and the larger British Atlantic World.

Happy Memorial Day! It’s the official kickoff weekend to the summer in the United States. It’s time to hit the beach and enjoy some fun barbeque smoked food parties. With Independence Day right around the corner, what better way to show national pride than by wearing the iconic red, white and blue flag print.

There are also some lesser know days that many Americans like to show their patriotism. Such as National Medal of Honor Day on March 25, Patriot Day on September 11, Pearl Harbor Day on December 7, and Armed Forces Day which is celebrated on the third Saturday in May. How many of these holidays do you recognize and/or celebrate? As the daughter and spouse of military men, as well as growing up in a military town, I consider myself to be quite patriotic and wear red, white and blue often. But I must admit that I never paid much attention to some of these days in the past. So I’m adding days like National Medal of Honor Day and Patriot Day to my calendar!
