How to achieve a perfect GMAT score

Let’s make a post today on how to get a very good GMAT score and, as a result, we will give a few tips about all GMAT questions, focusing on advices about how to learn for your exams. With their unchanging list of answer options, data sufficiency questions lend themselves perfectly to a special kind of process of elimination: You should always work through the answer choices in the same order. We’ve pasted the choices below for your review. Note that they won’t come with A-E lettering on the real test (we’ve put that in to make referring to them easier); instead, they’ll each have a bubble to the left that you’ll click on to indicate the answer. A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked. B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked. C. BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient to answer the question asked, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked. D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked. E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient to answer the question asked, and additional data specific to the problem are needed. You should only put the statements together if, after testing each statement for sufficiency by itself and going through the process of elimination above, both statements are insufficient. At this point, there are only two options: either they’re sufficient when taken together, or they’re not. If putting them together gets to only one answer, then (C) is the answer. If not, then (E) is the answer.

Pick up ‘mental math’ skills: Doing math in your head can serve you well. “The entire time you are preparing for the GMAT, resist the urge to reach for the calculator whenever you need to do some real-world calculations,” suggests McGarry. “Learn the tricks to doing mental math (It’s way easier to add 59 + 27 by adding 50 + 20 and then 9+7; then add the sums together.)” Have a strategy for sentence correction questions: To get the correct answer in sentence correction items, you must first find the wrong ones, says Yim. “Eliminate commonly tested errors in other answer choices until only one remains,” he adds. “Many times the correct answer will not sound great but that’s not the goal; you are trying to pick the error free answer.”

Most of us started our GMAT and GRE tutoring careers with face-to-face sessions, and we squirmed a bit when we started tutoring online. we’ve offered online GMAT and GRE tutoring in some form since 2009, and the vast majority of our tutoring has been conducted online since 2012. Don’t Skip Around Beware! Because the test is taken on a computer, you must answer each question to get to the next one. You can’t count on skipping a question to come back to later as a part of your test-taking strategy. However, as of July 11, 2017, you CAN choose your test section order. Pace Yourself: There are two important factors that can affect your score on the computer-adaptive sections of the test: Questions that appear earlier on the test count more than questions that appear later on the test. Questions you leave unanswered will lower your score.

When to repeat a lesson already learned: an information that you repeat every day, it becomes a memorized or learned information, which is not recommended at all. Try to learn logically, not mechanically, and repeat old information only when you realize that you are beginning to forget it. Make logical connections between lessons and personal life: the school syllabus is very busy, so it is almost impossible to learn all the notions unless you make certain logical connections between them.
